Hiya, I'm Rachael Dier! A creative with a simple mission - to make others seen.
I’ve been compelled by stories since I was a little girl, always seeking out ways to listen attentively, dig deep, and share what I found with anyone I could. I could be caught hiding in my family’s bathroom in the wee hours of the night, hiding in a corner with a book in hand, staying up wayyy past my bedtime. I simply couldn't tear my eyes away!
There my passion for storytelling began, and it only grew from there. I quickly began dabbling in all sorts of mediums - poetry, painting, sketching, and eventually, photography.
Since then, I’ve been cherishing the living, breathing stories around me, captivated by how powerfully dynamic we as individuals can be, how our stories are continuously changing.
Now, I live out my dream of bringing stories to life, working with a servant heart to help amplify the voices of others and create art that resonates with many.

Eye of the Dier was born out of the desire to a desire to embrace the mess that life brings & finding beauty in it all. We are not your conventional photography brand - and never will be.
Our purpose goes beyond capturing a single moment in time. Beyond poses and curating something artificial. It’s to create art that serves a bigger purpose. A purpose dedicated to socially-conscious storytelling, empowerment, and creative liberation.
Primarily, we photograph once-in-a-lifetime events (weddings, engagements, etc.) that our clients want to be captured in a heartfelt, authentic (yet still distinct) way. Outside of this, we take part in projects like Naked & Dignified that pair our portraits with a greater piece of work.

Because, life is more than scrolling through a stagnant feed. It's the living moments shared with others. It's having moments full of laughter, tears, and joy caught to relive. It's taking an uncomfortable step under the spotlight, only to come out to feel even more alive. It's about reliving these moments over and over and over again. Life isn't about a checklist. It's about purpose. Passion. And the emotions that connect us.

Rachael is organized, prepared, open to creative freedom, and goes above and beyond to make sure it goes perfectly.
